Not only the Father of the Reformation but also the Father of the Holocaust because Hitler used Luthers work entitled On the Jews and Their Lies. Justification by faith was not lost between the apostles and Luther. There were always believers persecuted by the Roman Catholic religion like the Anabaptists. Luther only made justification by faith preachable openly again in some areas because he had benefactors in government.
